A niche perfume binge in a box
I grabbed the Unique'e Luxury Discovery Set because I was curious about the brand and honestly didn’t want to blind-buy a full bottle of something I might hate. You get 14 x 2 ml extrait de parfum sprays, unisex, all pretty strong on paper. I’ve been rotating them for about two weeks, wearing one or two per day, sometimes reapplying in the evening to see how they behave. So this is not a one-spray-and-review situation; I actually lived with them a bit.
Overall, the set feels like a crash course in this brand’s style: bold, dense, and not shy with sweetness or wood. If you’re used to mainstream designer scents from the mall, these will feel louder and more concentrated. Some I liked a lot (Kutay, Woud & Mood Absolute, Crush On Me), some I found too sweet or too synthetic for my taste. But at least none of them felt boring, which is already something.
In terms of use, 2 ml doesn’t sound like much, but because these are extrait de parfum, a couple of sprays go a long way. I’d say you can easily get 5–8 full wears out of each vial if you’re not heavy-handed. That’s enough to really decide if something deserves a full bottle or not. I mainly wore them in normal workdays, a few evenings out, and one long travel day to test projection and staying power.
To be clear: this is not a cheap “try before you buy” kit like you’d get from some designer brands. The price is higher, the style is niche, and some scents will probably be too much for people who want something very clean or very light. But if you like strong perfume and you enjoy testing stuff properly before committing, the set is pretty solid as a test bench.
Is it worth the money?
Value will really depend on how you look at it. You’re getting 14 x 2 ml, so 28 ml total of extrait de parfum. If you compare that directly to a full bottle price from niche brands, it’s not cheap but not outrageous either. The main point is that you get to properly test 14 different scents over several days each instead of blind-buying a 100 ml bottle and regretting it. For someone who likes to explore and maybe pick one or two full bottles later, this makes sense financially.
On the flip side, if you’re just looking for one or two new daily perfumes and you don’t care about trying lots of options, this set is probably overkill. You’re paying for variety and discovery. Some of the scents are very wearable and could be full-bottle worthy (for me: Kutay, Crush On Me, Woud & Mood Absolute), but others feel more like fun experiments that you’ll wear once or twice and then forget. So you have to accept that part of what you’re paying for is stuff you won’t fully use.
Compared to other niche discovery sets I’ve tried, the performance per ml is strong, so you’re not wasting juice on weak scents. The downside is the brand isn’t as known as some bigger niche houses, so resale value or hype factor is lower if that matters to you. Personally, I’d rather have a solid performing, lesser-known brand than pay more just for a big name, but that’s subjective.
If you’re a fragrance hobbyist or you like bold, intense scents and want to see if this house fits your taste, I’d say the value is pretty solid. If you’re more casual and just want one nice perfume that smells clean and safe, your money is probably better spent on a single mid-range designer bottle you already know you like. This set is really for people who enjoy the testing process itself.
Sprayers, labels and overall usability
The design is pretty straightforward: 2 ml glass spray vials with simple labels, nothing fancy. The labels show the brand and the fragrance name clearly, which is honestly what matters most when you’re trying 14 things at once. They’re printed cleanly and didn’t start peeling or smudging even after I handled them a lot and tossed them in a bag a few times. No color coding though, so you have to actually read the names each time.
The sprayers themselves are surprisingly decent for sample-size. You get a fine enough mist, not those horrible needle-spray jets that soak one spot and leave everything else dry. One full press gives a small but controlled spray, so for stronger scents like Kutay or Woud & Mood Absolute, two sprays are plenty. I didn’t get any leaking around the nozzle, and none of the vials jammed or failed during these two weeks, which is better than what I’ve had with some other niche sample sets.
From a design point of view, the only thing I missed was some form of quick reference on the outside of the main box: like a list of the scents with a one-line description (fruity, woody, gourmand, fresh). When you open the box, you’re basically in blind test mode. That’s fun if you like surprises, but if you want to pick a style for a specific situation (like something office-safe), you end up sniffing several caps first, which gets a bit tedious.
Overall, I’d say the design is practical and no-nonsense. It’s not pretty in a display-piece way, but it’s easy to store and easy to use. The vials stand up on their own, which is nice if you want to line up your favourites on a shelf. Not much to complain about here, but also nothing that really stands out compared to other niche discovery sets. It just works.
How they actually smell (hits, misses and overall style)
Fragrance-wise, the brand clearly likes bold, sweet-leaning and woody scents. If you hate strong perfume, this set is not for you. Most of these are on the heavier side, more evening or cold-weather than office daytime. For example, Kutay is a thick, dark, woody-amber style scent with a kind of boozy vibe. On my skin, it lasted all day and projected like crazy for the first few hours. I liked it, but I had to be careful with the trigger or it quickly felt too much indoors.
Mangonifiscent is exactly what the name suggests: mango-heavy, juicy, and sweet. It smells nice and fun, but on me it bordered on too sweet after a while, almost like a mango candy. Good for a summer evening or casual wear, but I wouldn’t wear it in a serious work meeting. Chocolate Makes Me Happy is a full-on gourmand: chocolate, sweet, almost dessert-like. If you like that style, you’ll probably enjoy it; if you don’t like smelling like food, you’ll hate it. Personally, I found it fun for one or two wears, but I wouldn’t buy a full bottle.
On the more versatile side, I found Istanbul, Izmir and Akdeniz easier to wear. They still have that niche density, but they’re more balanced and less in-your-face sweet. Istanbul on me was a warm, slightly spicy, woody scent that worked well in the office when I kept it to 1–2 sprays. Akdeniz leaned fresher and more coastal, not a pure aquatic, but more wearable in warm weather. Zen'gi and SoScentific felt a bit more experimental, with some sharper notes and a slightly synthetic edge at the start, but they calmed down nicely in the drydown.
In general, the quality is decent for the price, but not every scent feels super natural. Some openings smell a bit synthetic, especially the fruit-heavy and chocolate ones, but they usually settle after 20–30 minutes. If you’re used to high-end niche houses that focus on very natural-smelling ingredients, you might find this a step below that level. But if you’re coming from designer perfumes, this will feel richer and more intense overall. My main takeaway: good variety, clear personalities for each scent, but also quite a few that are very sweet and loud, so not everyone will find daily-wear options here.
Boxes, protection and daily handling
The packaging is clearly designed with gifting in mind. You get a main box containing 14 small individual boxes, each holding one 2 ml spray vial. From a protection standpoint, it works: everything arrived in good shape, no cracked vials, no loose caps, no leakage. The inner boxes hold the vials snugly enough that they don’t rattle around during shipping. So purely on the “does it protect the product” side, it does the job well.
From a daily-use angle though, the individual boxes are a bit of a mixed bag. At first, it feels nice to open each tiny box like a mini present, but after a few days of testing, it starts to feel like extra steps. I ended up tossing the inner boxes of the ones I didn’t care about and keeping only the ones I liked, to avoid clutter. If you plan to travel with a couple of vials, the little boxes are actually handy: they stop the sprays from getting triggered in a bag and make them easier to find.
The outer box is fairly compact for 14 perfumes, roughly the size mentioned in the specs (around 20 x 20 x 10 cm). It stores easily on a shelf or in a drawer. The design is simple, with the brand name and basic info. It doesn’t scream luxury, but it doesn’t look cheap either. There’s not much in terms of extra content: no big booklet, no detailed notes breakdown, at least in my set. You basically get the names and that’s it. If you like nerding out on note pyramids, you’ll have to look them up online.
In daily life, the packaging is practical but a bit overpackaged for my taste. If they simplified the inner boxes and added a small info card, I’d actually like it better. As it is, it’s fine for gifting and protection, just slightly annoying once you’re in testing mode and bouncing between several scents in a row.
Longevity and projection: these are not shy
The brand claims around 8 hours of scent duration, and on my skin, that’s mostly accurate, sometimes more. Kutay, Woud & Mood Absolute, and Crush On Me easily went 10+ hours, with my shirt still smelling of them the next day. Even after a full workday and a quick gym session, I could still smell traces. So if you like perfume that sticks around, this set delivers. If you prefer something that fades after lunch, you’ll probably find these too persistent.
Projection (how far the scent radiates) is also strong for most of them in the first 2–3 hours. With 3 sprays of Kutay or Woud & Mood Absolute, people around me definitely noticed. I got a mix of comments: one coworker liked Kutay a lot, another said it was a bit heavy for the office. Lesson learned: with these, less is more, especially indoors. For the lighter ones like Akdeniz or Ocean The Rive, I could get away with 3–4 sprays without choking anyone.
I tested them in different conditions: cool evenings outside, heated indoor office, and a couple of warmer days. In heat, the sweet and heavy ones (Mangonifiscent, Chocolate Makes Me Happy, Mashumaro) became cloying quite fast. They’re clearly better in cooler weather. The fresher ones held up fine and didn’t turn sour or weird, which sometimes happens with cheaper fragrances in warm conditions. On clothes, most of them last even longer than on skin, so if you spray your shirt or jacket, expect to smell it the next day.
Overall, performance is one of the strong points of this set. You really feel the extrait de parfum concentration. You don’t need many sprays, and you get long wear time. If anything, the issue is control: if you overdo it, it can be too much for people around you. So it’s powerful, but you need to be a bit disciplined with the trigger.
What you actually get in the box
The set includes 14 different 2 ml extrait de parfum sprays: Mangonifiscent, Aphrodisiac Touch, Woud & Mood Absolute, Istanbul, Izmir, Akdeniz, SoScentific, Mashumaro, Chocolate Makes Me Happy, Ocean The Rive, Kutay, Beverly Hills Exclusive, Crush On Me, and Zen'gi. So you get a mix of fruity, gourmand, woody, and fresh styles. It’s clearly built to show off range rather than stick to one theme. All of them are labelled, and the names match what you see in the product description, so no confusion there.
Each 2 ml vial is in its own little box inside the larger discovery set box. On the plus side, this makes it feel more like a real product and less like a bunch of samples just thrown in. On the downside, there is a lot of cardboard to deal with. If you like things tidy, you’ll appreciate the separate boxes because you can keep the ones you like together and toss the rest. Personally, I ended up writing small notes on each mini box like “sweet mango”, “chocolate bomb”, “woody beast” so I could remember what was what at a glance.
The main box is decent in size and feels giftable. It doesn’t scream luxury the second you touch it, but it doesn’t feel cheap either. It’s the kind of thing you can hand to a fragrance nerd friend without being embarrassed. There’s no big booklet explaining each scent in detail (at least in my unit), which is a bit of a shame. You have to rely on the names and your nose. For a discovery set at this price point, a simple card with notes and style for each scent would have been useful.
In practice, the presentation is functional and clean, but not mind-blowing. If you’re buying it mainly as a gift, it looks good enough, and the individual boxing does help it feel more premium. If you’re buying it just to test, you might actually find all the extra packaging a bit overkill. Still, everything arrived intact, no leaks, no broken sprayers, so on the basic stuff it gets the job done.

Conclusion
Editor's rating
After two weeks of wearing these on rotation, my overall take is that the Unique'e Luxury Discovery Set is a solid pick for people who like strong, niche-style perfumes and want to test widely before buying a full bottle. The scents are bold, sweet-leaning and often woody, with very good longevity and strong projection. You’re not getting light, airy colognes here; you’re getting perfumes that stick around and make a statement. Some are genuinely enjoyable and interesting (Kutay, Woud & Mood Absolute, Crush On Me, Istanbul), others feel more like fun experiments you’ll wear a few times and then move on from.
The weak points are mainly the sweetness and synthetic edge in some openings, plus the slightly overdone packaging without any real info card or guide. If you’re used to ultra-natural-smelling niche brands, this might feel a notch below, but performance is clearly there and you don’t need many sprays. I’d recommend this set to fragrance fans who already know they like louder, gourmand or woody-amber styles and want to discover a new house from Turkey without committing to full bottles. If you’re new to perfume, prefer clean and discreet scents, or hate sweet notes, you’ll probably find most of this box too much and the price not really worth it for you.
